RSCDS
The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society is internationally recognised as the governing body of Scottish Country Dancing.
It was formed in November 1923 to[1]:
- Practise and preserve Country Dances and danced in Scotland.
- Collect old books, manuscripts and pictures illustrative of Scottish Dances.
- Publish from time to time descriptions of Country Dances with diagrams and music in simple form, at a moderate price.
The RSCDS has it's headquarters at 12 Coates Crescent, Edinburgh, EH3 7AF and also has a number of "local associations" or "branches" throughout the world.
